Event Information
Hamsterly Forest – Looks set to be a cracker with a great mix of trail centre and natural stages, the forestry commission are super helpful in Northumberland, so expect trail to be in tip top condition.
Loads of information can be found at www.hamsterly-trailblazers.co.uk
How to get to Hamsterley Forest
Follow the signs to Hamsterley Forest from the A68 at Witton-le-Wear, 5 miles north of West Auckland. Turn right in Hamsterley village following the brown tourist signs, turn left in hamlet of Bedburn to enter the forest and access the forest drive (£3.00 toll fee). The visitor centre is located at the bottom of the hill on the right. The race site will be sign posted from here.

I have received confirmation of payment for this event when I entered it in Mid March, but not one bit of information on the event since then. Where can I see this? The race is in 2 days time and I don’t want to go all the way from London to Co Durham and not even be on the participant list, as you can understand. More information on the stages would also be appreciated (above it says it should have been released 1 week ago?)
Thanks you
I have found most of the information… and I am in
Cheers
Hi Ricardo,
Glad you got it sorted.
See you on a stage.
Hi, Can you confirm that the camping is going to be free of charge. There are rumours circulating on the Facebook page that people got stung for camping last year when it was meant to be free…… cheers.
Hi Jon,
The official line is that the Forestry Commission will be charging £5 per tent. The reason that some people paid last year and some did not is that the FC are a bit hit and miss when it come to collecting the camping fee.
See you at Rd3.
Cheers!
Hi,
I sent an e-mail regarding my entry last week but haven’t had a reply. Is the yahoo adress still a suitable email address to contact you on?
Thanks,
Hi Liam,
Please send your email to Steve Parr at
Hi Matthew,
Thanks for coming back to me. That is the e-mail address I have been using. I’d be grateful if you could get back to me on my e-mail as soon as you are able.
Thans,
Liam
Will do Liam.
Do we get confirmation of our race entry? Thanks
Hi Bobby,
Visit the British Cycling website here https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/86143/UK-Gravity-Enduro-Round-3#entry and click on View Entrants your name will be on the list.
See you on a stage…
Any idea on stages yet?
Will they be same or totally different to last year?
Cheers
Hi Karl,
Information on the stages will not be released until the week leading up to the event, in order to keep is fair for everyone.
So just ride it all…
Hi,
What grade are the trails? Are you allowed caravans on site or is it just camping?
Hi John,
No caravans on site. Camping, motorhomes and vans only.
The grade of the trail varies from established trail centre stuff through to some fresh cut sections. As a rough guide I would say red grade trails.
Any questions, just ask?
Is there any on site camping at this round?
Hi,
Yes camping at every round, camping at Hamsterley is free and located next to the finish line.
When is the closing date for entry for this event.
Hi Kevin,
Entries for each event will close 1 week before each event, entries will however close earlier if we reach the entry limit of 350. Please note that the first race sold out in 24hrs. So Rd3 Hamsterley will be sold out long before the race, if you want to get in, do it now!
Hamsterley is in co durham
