Event Information

Innerleithen Forest has been a very popular race venue over the years for downhill racing with many tracks winding their way down the hill. We are returning Innerleithen to and the 2013 enduro will use the hill in a very unique way using the different types of trails on the hill. This event will require a good level of fitness as it will require some climbing, all the climbing will be rewarded through with some of the best downhill sections in the country.

Free Camping – There will be free camping at Innerleithen, in the field just behind the main car park, due to the series starting early in 2013 and the location of the car park, it can flood when river is high, there will be an alternative camping field ready and its just 200 yards over the bridge going towards the town and will be sign posted. Please check were to camp/set up before you start, we will ask you to move if its in the wrong place. There is no drinking water on site. Don’t forget to lock valuables up, there have been a couple of thefts at races here before.

Event parking /Pit area – Event parking and pit area will be in the large car park at the bottom of the hill.

Event facilities – Unfortunately Innerleithen doesn’t have a café or bike shop on-site. There are however two bike shops and a number of cafes in Innerleithen town which is only a 10 minute walk from the race site.

If you would prefer to stay in a hotel or B&B please go to www.visittweedvalley.co.uk where you can view many different types of accommodation situated in Innerleithen town centre. We can also recommend the www.cornerhousehotel.com as the best place to eat and stay in Innerleithen.

From Carlisle

Take the A74(M) to junction 15 (Beattock) and turn onto the A701. Continue on the A701 the road through Moffat. About 11km past Tweedsmuir, turn right onto B712 (signposted for Stobo). After around 12km the road meets the A72. Turn right and head for Peebles. Once through Peebles town centre, continue on the A72. Go past Glentress (on your left) and on to Innerleithen village. Shortly after entering the village, look for the turn off to the B709 on your right (Traquair road). Follow the B709 for about 1km, then turn left at the T-junction onto the minor road. The car park is on the right hand side.

******* Heads up to everyone driving to Inners from the M74, the A708 road btw Moffat and Inners is shut due to subsidence. Thank you to Steve Felstead for the information *******

From Dumfries

Take the A701 towards Moffat. Continue through Moffat on the A701 and join the B712 (signposted for Stobo). See directions above from Carlisle

From Edinburgh

There are two main options. One is to travel via Peebles (see directions from Edinburgh to Glentress). The other is to join the A7 from the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass at Dalkeith. Head south through Gorebridge. Just past North Middleton, turn left onto the B7007. This merges with the B709 after about 14km, which leads straight into Innerleithen village. Arriving in Innerleithen village, turn right onto the A72 (towards Peebles) then look for the turn off on the left for the continuation of the B709 (Traquair Road) before the end of the village. After about 1km, turn left at the T-junction onto the minor road. The car park is on the right hand side.
