  1. Hi, is there camping at Afan for the racers if they need it? I am planning to arrive friday evening as it is a 6 hour drive, could i please have some info regarding this? I have been in touch with the forest who allow camping at a fee but they did not have much knowledge of the event.

    Thanks.

    • Hi Daniel,

There is camping on site right next to the finish line. With toilets, showers and a cafe. There is a charge for camping at this round, but the guys are a bit hit and miss and collecting your money! Visit to see the campsite website.

  5. Hey man, is there still competition slots left for Afan…? Which trails are you using for the timed DH…? What sort of miles will be put in on a typical day??
First time for me by the looks, think this’ll be a laugh :)

  6. Is there a reserves list you can book onto if you missed out on entry in case anyone pulls out? Would love to race Afan again but was too late entering and it’s fully booked.

  7. Hi Matt,

Just wondering, I want to ride with my friends on the non-timed stages, mostly because climbing is easier when the guy next to you is visibly suffering more. Is there a way to get our stage start times close together?

    • Hi Tom,

Afraid not, during the race you’ll be riding with other guys in the same age category as you. So you’ll just have to mentally visualise your mates suffering more than you if they are not in your category. Of course you’ll be free to ride the loop with them during practice.

  8. Hi, im new to enduro so am quite clueless! Just wondering if you have to enter from round 1 or can you enter mid way through? Cheers. .

    • Hi Richard,

You can enter just one round or all of them that is up to you. Most people do the races nearest to where they live and then a hardy few enter them all!

  9. Hi Mat, when are the entry tickets going on sale? I missed out last year!!
Don’t want the same to happen this year!
